ORION -  Single Angle Shear Wave

• High spec shear wave transducer incorporating round crystals to avoid side lobes.
• High damped with high output & excellent noise to signal ratio.
• Enables close access to weld cap, allowing greater area of the weld to be inspected.

• Optimally designed shoe & excellent damping for low internal noise.

• Medium damped, lead zirconate titanate (PZT) elements tuned to give optimum gain & resolution for general use.

• Colour coded labels to enable recognition angle
• Acrylic wear plates allow shaping for curvature or repair when worn.

• Stainless steel case for durability.
• 2mm Perspex wear plate allowing shape for curvatures, easy replacement when worn

• Appropriate for large testing areas or where extra penetration is required.
• Medium damped, lead zirconate titanate circular elements provide low noise and high output.

• Colour coded labels to enable recognition angle.
• Acrylic wear plates allow shaping for curvature or repair when worn.
• Sets of 10 plexiglass wear plates 2mm thick, with acoustically matched adhesive is available as a kit.
