MDS
and KDS Drills meet the industry demand for effective and efficient
driling of steels, cast irons and exotic materials. Available
in large to very small diameters, they offer excellent productivity
and about 10 times the tool life of HSS drills.
- Increased
strength - A thicker web and narrower flute increase torsional
rigidity throughout the drill body, reducing oversizing and
improving surface finish.
- Lower
cutting forces - Positive radial rake angles significantly
reduce cutting force, torque and power requirements.
- Better
chip removal - The cutting edge geometry, formed by the concaved
cutting edge and flute wall produces short, curled chips which
are easily evacuted.
- Advanced
tool materials - A titanium substrate increases tool strength,
while PVD coating improves wear, adhesion-resistance and cutting
forces.
