Working in conjunction with some of the best metallurgists and metrology labs, Precision Diameter Tape Corporation has engineered and developed an accurate, durable and easily readable diameter measuring tape. This level of precision, quality, and workmanship has never been achieved before. Equipment was designed exclusively for the manufacturing of these modern tapes. Tapes are manufactured in a modern facility, without the use of hazardous materials such as acids and solvents.

Precision Diameter Tape Corporation’s precision diameter tapes are manufactured from 301HY stainless steel. This stainless steel has superior properties to 1095 clock steel, which has traditionally been used for diameter measuring tapes. This stainless steel never needs oiling and will not rust under most conditions. And unlike lesser grade stainless steel tapes in the marketplace, the PDT stainless steel tape is designed to maintain its accuracy over many years of use. These tapes are ideal for any environment, including severe environments.

Precision Diameter Tape Corporation’s tapes come with dark, easy to read gradients. We also offer a Super Read tape with ultra high contrast marks on a white background. All PDT tapes are laser engraved that strictly controls accuracy while not degrading the base metal of the tape. This is important to ensure long tape life and retained accuracy. While our computer-controlled equipment can produce tape accuracies to within +/- .0001 inch, we certify accuracy to the limitations of the tape, +/- .001 inch or +/- .03 mm.

All tapes come with factory certifications traceable to N.I.S.T. We also offer the same tapes with certifications issued by an A2LA accredited lab.
