The Mountz Assembly Verifier is like putting the eyes and ears of a Quality
Control Manager where they are needed most; right on the assembly line.
The Assembly Verifier works in conjunction with a modified electric, pneumatic
or manual torque assembly tool to verify that all fasteners have been
installed and that they were seated to the tools preset torque setting.
The Assembly Verifier has the ability to 'learn' the characteristics of
not only the tool but also that of the application that it is being used
on. This allows the Assembly Verifier to distinguish between a fastener
that was properly seated and one that was either stripped or cross-threaded.
The Assembly Verifier can be programmed
manually through the keypad on the face of the unit or automatically through
its software interface via the unit's RS232 port. The unit can be
programmed to count single screws or batches if the assembly contains
multiple fasteners. The unit gives the operator audible and visual
indications that a batch has been accepted or if it has been rejected.
Through an optional output connector, the Assembly Verifier can interact
with a PLC to activate other functions on a line or internally within
the Verifier itself.
The Mountz Assembly Verifier increases productivity and enhances product
quality by ensuring that every assembly has been subjected to Quality
Control right on the assembly line..
