![]() Mercury Gage Company was founded in 1951 and incorporated for the purpose of manufacturing gaging for aerospace, oil, medical, military and automotive industries. |

Gage can be modified to any form of O.D. measurement applications - groove, radius, plain, etc.
The holders are cast 356 aluminum, and heat treated to a T-6 condition. The Coefficient Thermal Expansion is, 68° - 212° F .0000119. What this means is although the holders are light, they are stable as well. Both the Variable and Attribute Gages have a total adjusment range of one full inch, up to the 12 inch size. At that point the adjustment ranges move up to a full two inches, (i.e. 12" - 14"; 16" - 18"; 18" - 20"). The gage head on the Variable Gage has .100+ of travel. The Vaaraiaable Gage also has a .312 wide anvil for a more solid feel. The Indicator or Transducer Collet has also been extended to allow a better hold without increasing the pressure. This also allows the customer to utilize some of the newest extended length indicators without difficulty. The face clearance has been increased to enhance the gages ability to get into place where the anvils need to be flush with the part. This allows this to be done, in most cases, without interference. As always, the indicator can be positioned in a 360° rotation. |
