Focodyn

This laser pick-up for the non-contact assessment of microstructures is especially suited for measurements on sensitive materials such as metals, glass, lacquers, liquids, paper, and plastics.

The design of the thin, angularly movable measuring lever enables measurements in bores, grooves, gears, as well as on plane surfaces.

Measuring principle of the laser pick-up

The Focodyn is based on the principle of dynamic focussing. The distance between the measuring spot and the objective is kept constant by means of a linear motor which permanently adjusts the measuring lever.

As for common pick-ups, the movement of the measuring lever is inductively converted into an electric signal. The Focodyn's advantage over other non-contact pick-ups is that it can be connected to any Perthometer without effort.
