Bowers
line of external micrometer frames can be used with a Bowers transducer/handle
(from the Bowers Superbore
System) to provide exceptional accuracy. Data is read on a Sylvac Digital
Indication Unit in inch or metric, resolution to .0001", .00001"
or .001mm, .0001mm. allows absolute or comparative measurements.
The frames serve as snap gages with the quick action lever on the transducer.
Its design allows one-hand operation, and spring
loading ensures correct measuring force at all times; there’s no
“operator feel” to interfere with accuracy. The Bowers System’s
modular design allows you to add components as needed. Begin
with one outside micrometer frame, a transducer and Sylvac digital indication
unit and later add additional frames, bore gages or Sylvac units as desired.

Micrometer frames are offered in four ranges:
0 - 1" (0 - 25mm), 1 - 2" (25 - 50mm), 2 - 3" (50 - 75mm)
and 3 - 4"
(75 - 100mm). One transducer/ handle fits all four sizes and quickly
interchanges the frames as needed. The 5' cable allows use at the machine
or inspection center. If needed, an optional 9-foot extension
cable is available.
