Q.
– Why was the PosiTest DFT developed?
A. – It is a simple, economical solution for first time
buyers or users who are on a limited budget and still want to
buy from a reputable manufacturer.
Q.
– What does the PosiTest DFT offer that other low-cost gages don’t?
A. – We stripped the instrument of features, but not of
quality. Our ruby-tipped probe has been experience tested, our simple
two-button operation is widely acclaimed, our large numerals have
always been appreciated and “NO calibration required for most applications”
is a DeFelsko hallmark. A truly basic gage that retains proven DeFelsko
quality.
Q.
– What are some typical industries that will be interested in the
PosiTest DFT?
A. – Although suitable for a wide variety of industries,
our research shows that the following industries will be most interested
in the PosiTest DFT:
·
Powder coating job shops
· Automotive refinishers
· Auto remarketers and Auction attendees
· Body shops
· Other small coating operations
Q.
– What accessories are available for the PosiTest DFT?
A. – There are three available accessories:
·
Coating Thickness Standards - Cal S2 (steel), Cal A2 (aluminum)
· Certificate of Calibration
· Pouch w/ Belt Clip
Q.
– Can the PosiTest DFT store or print data?
A. – No, if readings need to be stored or printed for statistical
evaluation, the PosiTector 6000 is the ideal choice.
Q.
– How is the PosiTest DFT calibrated at DeFelsko?
A. – The PosiTest DFT is factory calibrated using NIST traceable
standards. A Certificate of Calibration is available at a special
discounted price of $50 if requested at the time of the order. Re-certification
and certification performed after sale will cost $95.
Q.
– Can I make calibration adjustments with the PosiTest DFT Coating
Thickness Gage?
A. – For most applications, this gage is ready to measure
right out of the box. When necessary a Zero calibration adjustment
(ZERO) can be performed. This easy, one-step instruction is printed
on the back of the gage.
