Metalscan 2500 Series Desktop Spectrometers Metalscan 2500 Series Spectrometers are low cost, high performance desktop type spectrometers that utilize the latest in CCD detector technology. As the optical system is small and has internal temperature control, 2500 series systems can be placed in nearly any operating environment and do not require laboratory conditions. The 2550 is for non-ferrous applications and any application that does not require C, P or S. The 2560 utlizes an argon purged optic for the analysis of ferrous based materials including C, P and S.
