Description: The 7964-B Coupling Thread Alignment
Gauge is used to check the axial thread alignment
on API Casing and Line Pipe couplings. For measuring
stability, two adjacent contacts are located on
one end of the gauge body with the measuring point
located 3"distant. Any misalignment of the coupling
threads, relative to each other, is then indicated
on the dial. Naturally, it will also accommodate
interchangeable Tungsten Carbide contacts, allowing
it to be used on various thread types.

Description: The 7964-A, Coupling Thread Alignment
Gauge, is used to check the coupling thread alignment
on Tubing & Buttress Casing. This gauge is excellent
in checking for any misalignment of the coupling
threads. This 7964-A is used by placing the gauge
into the coupling with the contact points being
an equal distance apart from the center. On the
7964-A the contact points on the gauge are separated
by 5", which is for checking sizes of 4 ½" and larger.
Once the gauge is inside the coupling run the 7964-A
around one time, and the movement in the hand is
the misalignment of the coupling. On the 7964-A
the contact points on the gauge are separated by
3", which is for checking sizes of 4 ½" and smaller.
